After a month of anticipation the Martians have finally landed over on Martians & Machine Guns, gorgeous little beauties they are as well. I'll keep you updated on how they turn out.

Apologies for the threadomancy AND the double post but thought I'd post an update on what's been occurring over on my blog, after a long period of inactivity I finally finished my next battalion of infantry the 2nd Battalion York and Lancashire regiment and began and finished work on my first landship HMLS Defence.

Work has begun on the 17th Lancers which hopefully will be finished within the next couple of weeks.

Apologies for the triple post but hopefully it's worth it. After a long delay I've finally began work on my three tripods. Just a couple of pictures of them at the basing stage but I've already basecoated them and started painting one of them (no pictures of that just yet).

Anyway there they are. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

I love those tripods.... is the brass rod really necessary? because they should look GREAT without it!

Unfortunately it is, although the resin is reinforced with thin steel rods, it still needs the brass rod as the legs are so fragile. I may well hide the brass rod with some trees. Though my plan is to make them compatible with both 6mm and 15mm models, so still pondering that one.

Glad you like, 6mm is passion of mine, partially for space reasons but also because it allows a larger scale of game. Personally I don't get too hung up on the painting, most of the time you don't view them any closer than arms length anyways, i'm happy as long as I get a good visual effect with a mass of troops from about two foot away.

As for the tripods, as far as I'm aware they are unavailable. They were made by a gentleman over on the Tactical Command forum and the very spindly nature of the legs meant that they were pretty difficult to cast. Can't say too much as they were based on a copyright design.

Haarken, the tripod walkers are really impressive.
