Just curious what folks have planned to mark the end of the War to End All War?
It happens that I have to go through old family papers that were recently removed from my late parents' house. They include some of my paternal grandfather's letters and sketchbooks from the stretch he spent in France as part of the US Army Flying Corps at the very end of the war... Since his unit arrived in France at the very end of October 1918, he never flew in combat, but had to stay Over There for several months while troops who'd been there longer got priority on transport home.
It should be an interesting evening.
Cheers
