New Mutineer Cavalry and Naval Brigade
« on: 22 November 2010, 12:48:34 AM »
More Indian Mutiny stuff from Mutineer. The mounts are clearly the new Ebob horses. There's something a little odd about the BLC troopers' body proportions, although that may be the pictures.

Funny that, I was just looking at a picture of a Probyn's Horse Officer and thinking it would make a great figure. A dismounted version would be nice, too!

Nice figures if only two months late.I wonder how long it will take them to get to this side of the Atlantic being as the Sikh infantry have still not arrived either.
Nicely done though as are most of the Mutineer figures.

Yup - I love that figure too. Just something so exotic about that poshteen.

Love the riders. So much character. Well done Mr Owen.

But there's something about those Ebob standing / walking horses that is anatomically wrong. I said so when I saw the Empress Zulu War cavalry too...
I hesitate to criticise, because Ebob is generally a sculpting genius of the first order. I have several of his figures and they are all gorgeous.
The galloping horses look great. But those barrel chested standing gee-gees are just not right  :?

I think it all looks fantastic, including the horses.

Anyone have a painting guide for the Naval Brigade?

Also, love the new painted figs, especially the Sikhs. Brian, could you share your color recipe for painting khaki?

These are very nice.  What rules are best used with these?
