Finished! I can't believe I've actually managed to complete another project before the new year! That's the beauty of this site. As well as a wealth of talent and inspiration, the comments left by other members push you to finish stuff! Anyway thanks again guys!
The whale is painted in the colours suggested jimbibbly. I'm not big on airbrushing, as I can't be bothered with all the cleaning, so all I've done here is use the cans of GW spray undercoat that I've got. It's just handy that killer whales are White and black! First it was sprayed black then I cut out holes in sheets of paper to act as templates for the spots and sprayed on the White. After that it's just a case of using washes of GW Dark flesh and chaos black to break up the solid colour and hopefully make it more interesting to look at. The chips on the armour were painted using fortress grey with dark flesh painted on top so that a thin line of the grey is left at the bottom of the 'scratch'. The reeds on the beach are just bristles from an old paint brush.
Anyway I hope you like it...

I hope you don't mind all the pictures, but I'm quite happy how this turned out. There is some obvious mistakes, like I melted the plastic card near the top hatch when I was using a hairdryer to heat the plastic card hot enough to bend, but I like the way the water turned out ( I think it looks better than the wee test I did).
Anyway cheers!
