Tiger Force for Cyberfire
« on: 04 December 2010, 08:04:05 AM »
After a successful event at Horisont II (very successful!) I hasten to add more troops to the Røvede Space Colony setting.

Jaeger has been discussing doing some horrendous CANIDS! and I have had to come up with an answer to this new thread. My answer will be:

Tiger Force

Inspired by the G.I.Joe action figures of the same name. Again I'm using rubbish figures that wouldn't get any love otherwise. The different guys aren't painted the same way as I used this first stand to find out how to paint the skin. (and I fogot stripes on the bandanas).

Alpha Platoon done. Each platoon will have different tiger markings and colours.

(I'll add a forward observer and a leader to this platoon later)

I'm looking forward to painting some tiger striped vehicles already. :D

Next on the list though is Kilo Lima Battery - 3 morters with crew - and some truly alien jungle terrain!

I have some almost kitsch desire for horrible plastics...  lol

At least that's how I explain my purchases at WGF through time.

I considered getting their not-death corps infantry and adding hog heads also. But economy won and I'm doing tiger force first.

Uh. Those mortars are gonna give my poor canids a lot of headaches I'm sure, but what is that guy doing with his garage door opener in the middle of the jungle?  :D

Paint and photo... what can I say.. wouldn't expect anything less (even though it's speedpainting).  ;)

I'll add a couple of Tiger Paws I think. Just need to order some quad bikes from Scotia Grendel.

One to an infantry base will probably look just right.

Looks great Thorbjørn, I wish my speed painting was as good as that, it's either speed and really crap and slow and reasonable.
Plus I particularly like the alien plantlife, very 90's GW (in the good way of course, not the 'red-way!).

The UK only got limited releases of figures compared to the US, but to be honest the majority were just repaints.

Nice work on horrid mini's. :)

2nd Cyberfire Table almost done now.  lol

I have to get a new cloth though... can't use it on two tables at the same time.
