Eureka drops Tekumel range from their catalogue...

It's a shame as I was quite keen on getting some of these eventually... It doesn't mean I can't buy them later, but price, postage etc. will need to change.

I wonder why..?

The impression on another board was poor sales, a guess not contradicted by the Eureka employee who posted to the thread.

Fair comment, but is the huge fan base in Nth America just not purchasing them because they're located in Australia?

Money concerns affect us all, it makes more sense for a US centric range to be produced and sold closer to home unless you're talking enormous numbers which make shipping irrelevent.

Consider small scale repro in Aus against that closer to the market, poss lower prices, lower postage deffo. Win/win for the custy, and as customers isn't that what we'd all prefer?

On a purely nationalistic note I'd like to claim it's because we're winning the Ashes... ponting you w*nk*r!  8)

Could be Australia, could be the small/missing/unhelpful pics of the minis for sale that the Eureka site has unfortunately become known for...

This change is taking place because we are taking over the manufacturing and selling of the range, which will be incorporated into our fledgling Tekumel Club.

Sales have nothing to do with it. When we introduced the Tekumel Club it seemed to cause quite a bit of confusion as to who sold what - it makes more sense to bring it all under one roof.

The original range will be released again - not sure about exact time frame, but we will be starting with the newest and the unreleased stuff first and working backwards. So: the Shen, the Hlaka and the Ahoggya will be right there at the top of the release schedule.

Hi,

There is a link (top right) off our blog:

http://thetekumelproject.blogspot.com/

Or, go direct:

http://thetekumelclub.blogspot.com/

Not very pretty at the moment. I'll be reorganizing it a bit. The main problem is that the template I chose doesn't seem to work the same as the one I'm using for the main blog. I can't seem to get the same formatting. I have to fight to get the line spacing I want and then it keeps changing on me. That is, the previews look good, but when I post the spacing changes. So one day, when I have time, I'm going to change templates or something to try and get it to work better. Maybe Blogger has a user forum?

Anyway, if you have any questions you can email me at:

green27 AT sympatico DOT com

Hope this helps.

Best Regards,

Howard Fielding

I never knew these models were based on an existing setting. It sounds interesting, maybe I'll pick up a novel some day 8)

I think you mean Man of GoldMan of God puts a whole different slant on things considering how many gods there are in the Tékumel pantheon!

Doh!  :D

You are absolutely correct. The full title is "The Man of Gold". I was too busy worrying about whether it was Man of Gold or A Man of Gold and messed up the whole thing as a result...
