Nice work on Sayl and thanks for the back story, he looks very promising 8)

oxiana> thanks for the link. I don't think I'll be getting them (I don't really need model maggots at the moment) but it's interesting to see such products exist 8)

That freehand is just showing off! I love it.  :-*

It is something lacking in my painting pal that will push it to the next level so I need to practice practice practice :D

Nice scales on the snake.
And I just noticed the little ghost faces. Now those are amazing.  :-*

Thanks pal. They were inspired by The Scream

I'm amazed again that when you put the block colours on, they don't look much different from my minis, but then you weave your magic paintbrush work and transform them to something wonderful.

Thanks pal.

Right the basic painting is all done, need to do the weathering etc and the base but that will have to wait till after the football.

Absolutely beautiful as always.
I don't feel worthy to offer criticism ;) but I think you need to build up the snow under Sayl's feet as it looks a bit like he is floating.
This is one thread I check at least weekly as it is so wonderful.

Really nice finished work there. The sorcerer looks fantastic!

When you posted pictures of that Chaos Spawn thingy earlier I thought it was a tank sized model because of all the fine detail work you put into it. I was really surprised to see that it was so small.   :-*

Guess thats a sign a of job well done if you think it's larger than it actually is :D

Forgeworld have used my models as the painted versions of the models on their site

and that makes me very happy even though I never got named as the paint but heyho pain and pleasure :D

nice result but I think that Forgeworld should write that those figs are painted by you... Not so fair to use your pics and not name you!  :?

IMPRESSIVELY WELL DONE! I spotted Himself over on C.M.o.N., &, in a totally impartial manner, voted...I think those Folks are jealous, blind, or both.

Honestly it doesn't bother me pal, I know they are mine, they know they are mine, you guys know they are mine, anyone else that doubts it will have to live with their doubt  lol  I see it as an indication of the progress my painting has made in the last three years

Cheers pal.  Voting on CMON is weird, personally they should remove the ability to see the model's current score before you vote so people vote what they think rather what some of the self rightous people on the site seem to do when they see a model rated higher that what they think and then vote it a 1 to lower the score, and I have seen a couple of guys do it and actually comment about having done it. I see pretty much anything above an 8 is a success, by that way of thinking though Sayl is tinkering on the edge and staring down into the void of abject failure  lol

Thanks pal, tried a few new things in respect of the snow, first adding some varnish to the mix and then also playing around with it more before it dries in place very much like using weathering powders.

Absolutely!

Wow, that's a damn fine bit of painting now it's all finished. Love the base. What did you use for snow?
