« on: 21 December 2010, 04:49:11 AM »
I found this pic in my Grandfather's old army chest and thought you would enjoy seeing it at this time of year.

Merry Christmas.
Tom

Figs by Artizan. His coat is actually a deep green.

Color composite of the various elements pre scratched or sepiafied.

Merry Christmas.

Very nicely done!

Greyscale or sepia make photo-faking so much more convincing!

Sheesh! Those dastardly Nazis have no shame at all, forcing ol' Saint Nick to deliver gifts armed.

"Stand right zhere and hand over zhose prezents, Herr Klaus! Remember, ve haff vays of making your bellz jingle!"

Nice work on the figures. Do you intend to finish the bases with some modelling snow? Also, I like the plane. Very fetching in the red-and-gold livery.

Excellent choice for Mrs. Claus and a beautiful pulp-themed holiday card for us all. Nice work!  :-*

That was fun.

Nicely done, but shouldn't Mr. Klause be a bit fatter? lol

Well, the war years were a bit hard on the waistline I believe.

Do you intend to finish the bases with some modelling snow? Also, I like the plane. Very fetching in the red-and-gold livery.
Actually, I am going to finish the bases in my standard pulp base finish of dirt and grass for gaming. Santa will do double duty as a pulp pilot and the Missus doubles as the dastardly air piratess Scarlet, the air mistress of Death!

As for the Lockheed Vega, I wish I could take credit for it, but I believe it is a pic of Ms. Earhart's Vega that I comped in.

Here's a pic where the color is a tad more accurate to the way it looks in the flesh.

I changed the background surface, toned the lighting back a bit, and then tweaked the jacket color.

sorry, for digging THAT one out, I am normally not into necromantic stuff ... but ...

could it be a great idea for some competition? Posting some postcards, we all got from our family - of found at the attic? Or maybe some pictures in an the adventures diary from our long lost grand-grand-grand-father?

best wishes

Lockheed Vega, Does look like Erhart's, but I thought it was a model, not a real shot.
Fantastic photoshopping there!
Quality has a quantity of its own
