I seem to recall someone did/does that.  EM4 maybe?  Snap arms and such on, glue not needed.

I know a lot of people do swappable weapons, arms, and heads with magnets.

Mega Bloks "Call of Duty" sets are fantastic for war gaming, thought about using them with "Ambush Alley" rules...
