A not tank girl
« on: January 02, 2011, 01:47:07 PM »
A not tank girl/zombie hunter/generic post apoc heroine.
Based on this fantasy football player from Gaspez, I really like the face on this one, but as everyone said when it was previewed, the spikes are daft.

So I went for a flak vest type thing.

At her feet is a pump action, I can't decide whether to have it slung over her shoulder, back, at her side or just leave it off. :?
Suggestions
Her left hand holding the bat is bigger than her right, but she is wearing a glove on her left, can I get away with that?

A brilliant conversion and a vast improvement on the original!  :-*

I think the spikes are quite subdued, when compared to the original inspiration...

I keep meaning to get this figure, for no particular reason. I like what you've done with it, but with mine the spikes will stay.  :)

I just wish they'd do the Napoleonic Dragoon version,

I think she'd look quite good in a game of Sharpe Practice.

The hand works fine. As you say it's a glove and gloves make the hands bulkier, especially if she is wearing some thick rugged work gloves.

I like what you've done with the figure.

I'd leave the gun off. Otherwise why is she swinging a bat if she's got a pump action instead?

So the original mini is based on a Rhianna video? :o :? lol
@Hammers
I doubt it's done by A.R., although I can see the similarities perhaps, probably done by one of the Gaspez designers, buty dunno which. It's here anyway: http://www.gaspez-arts.com/?go=details&id=254

The glove looks fine, though you might try adding some detail, say, deep seams to suggested padding similar to hockey. A protected, even armored, glove on the wielding hand seems apropos.

I was going to suggested maybe a few spikes as well, but...  lol

Word of God. The Gaspez guy admitted as much when a couple of us mentioned the similarity on another forum.

That is just awesome!  :o ;D :-*

I wish I had the talent to sculpt modifications like that!

So... When do we get to see her tank?  :D

I really like what you did with that figure hubbabubba, especially as I wouldn't have bought it in its original state. She might be wielding the bat with the shotgun slung because she's temporarily out of shells. Had it been me I might have had her holding the shotgun casually mid barrel though. The heavy glove looks right too. Awesome conversion of 'good girl gone bad', or 'the only girl in the world'.

Funny you should mention that. From the same video...

It's got to be pink. You know that, don't you?  :)
