Hot Lead 2011
« on: 14 January 2011, 04:28:32 PM »
Check out Hotlead.ca for info

Really looking forward to attending this year.
Will be the 2nd time I go!

I know Chairface and Sterling Moose will probably be attending but are any other LAFers attending?

Maybe we should wear buttons or something to distinguish ourselves?

I've heard that Chris the Model Maker sometimes attends. Does any one know who he is as I'd be interested in some of his terrain, if he brings any.
Yearly painting challenges only show me how useless I am at painting...

Yep, we'll be there - on Bring & Buy duty as far as I know.

Well I'll certainly be there too! :D

Glad you're enthused.

Chris the Model Maker isn't going to shows anymore as far as I've heard. He makes what he likes and sells it on eBay where he can get more money from rich American professionals than he can ever hope to get at a show.

He hasn't wanted a booth in a few years. Too bad.  :(

@ James - that's too bad but I just snagged a Spanish settlement in Toronto so I'm good for scenery now.

@ Dozing Dragon - the "wrong" side of the pond?? Aren't there hobby shows like every other week in the UK?  ;)
Plus u don't have to convert $$ into pounds. LOL!!

The dealer's room line up is looking amazing! RAFM, North Bay Games and Hobbies, etc etc. There will be some fresh faces as well, and I'm looking forward to parting with some money.

Here is the website by the way:

Me neither!

Just talked to the good folks at RAFM. It's not too late to put in an order for the show - they rarely bring everything that they stock, so if you're interested in something from the VSF or historical ranges shoot them an email.

Two weeks from today!

My favourite part? The bring and buy! Always some fantastic stuff to be had:

Quote
Saturday Morning Bring & Buy
Sale will run from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Items for sale can be dropped off at any time during the sale.
All non-sold items must be picked up by the seller no later than 5:30 p.m. on the day of the sale. Any items not picked up may be forfeit to the Hotlead Staff. If you need special arrangements, contact the Hotlead Staff and we should be able to accomodate you.
The Bring & Buy table will be staffed at all times.
An "asking price" must be specified by the seller at time of drop off. Please fill out the Bring and Buy Form and lable the items before dropping off. Click here for the Bring and Buy Form.
Asking price may be changed at any time during the day.
Items will be sold by assigned lot number and buyers will not know who the seller is.
10% of selling price will be held by Hotlead Committee for distribution as the Committee sees fit.
Only wargaming materials and wargaming reference materials will get space on the selling table. Decision to sell is at the discretion of Hotlead Staff.
Hotlead Staff reserve the right to refuse to sell any item or material at the Bring & Buy sale.

There will be a pirate game on Friday night. :D I doubt Howard and Bruce will want to sell them though.

You can see some of the miniatures on my blog involved in a tavern brawl: http://rabbitsinmybasement.blogspot.com/2010/11/long-expected-party.html

Scroll way down to the bottom.

The air game, the VSF and the ACW games should be there too. :D

Just fired off the last batch of games to the web meister. 51 in total.

James
