Looking for decent sculpted 25mm fantasy figures
« on: January 18, 2011, 01:54:18 PM »
So not 28mm or heroic, good old school 25mm but quality sculpts. I'm looking for a few armoured and robed figures to convert into sith and jedi respectively so need to be in scale with the Grenadier WEG 25mm star wars figures from the 80's.

Old grenadier springs to mind, anything else?

Cheers

Babylons Burning used to sell a pack or two of cultists some of which would be nice Jedi and certainly sith, they had ammo belts and such and some with masks and the like. I also think one even had a sword. Trouble wil be tracknig them down as they were sold by a company who closed last year I think cant think of their bloody name (they sold QT and stuff like that)

Another idea may be some ninja or unarmoured samurai perhaps.

Should be plenty other old school goodness if you have a week or two to look through the whole catalogue!

Mega Miniatures offers an entire line of Sandra Garrity Grenadier figures (Old School 25s indeed), and they sell them  individually. Definitely worth a look.

Sandra Garrity would be ideal, I think Tim and Miniature Heroes has them in stock as well.

Thanks all keep em coming!  ;)

Ral Partha?

Can't recommend them enough.  The few I bought jumped to the head of my painting queue - LINK

From Ral Partha Europe.  Very clean castings too.  I was really impressed.

Nope, they're 28mm and a little on the big side - pretty ugly sculps too.  I have a pack languishing in the lead pile at the moment.
