SOTR vehicle squadron questions.

Finally I have some good figures that will be light mechs. It mentions in the rulebook that i can take 3 as the one support option as a squadron. The problem is after reading through the rulebook a few times i can not finad any rules explaining how a squadron operates. A few questions should steer me in the right direction though.
1: What sort of coherency do the mechs have to maintain or can they all go their own way?
2: Do they all have to shoot at the same target or can they all shoot at different targets?
3: Do they all have to be equipped with the same weapon/s?
4: Do you have a squadron leader for leadership or do they each test on their own leadership for checks?
5: Do they test for leadership like a squad of infantry or do they all operate independent of each other for checks?

Hi there,
 Each Mech in a squadron acts completely on its own, the idea of the squadron is just for the taking up of a support slot. So your light mechs don't take a slot on their own. Allowing you more choices.
