The irony is if you buy a pre booked Queue buster badge you will usually queue longer than those that just turn up on the day. Thats been the pattern for the last couple of years. ;) lol

I think that I read that on Matakishis site last year.  Part funny, part irritating I suppose.

You should be absolutely fine to turn up and pay on the day, its highly unlikely you will be refused admission.

Cool.  I figured as much but forewarned is forearmed and all that.

There are a few fast food and sandwich retailers in the concourse. They are pretty expensive though... ::)

A massive feed before I go that will carry me through until 2 or 3 when I leave seems in order then.  Thank you for your help.

1.30 by Jimbibbly's Oshiro Models stand.
Just walk in singing the Lead Adventure song and we shall know you...  ;)

Er.. Not last year it wasn't. Last year, those without queuebusters were still in a mighty queue to get in almost an hour after opening (some jobsworth is Security having caused some kind of fuss about something apparently), whilst those with queuebusters were strolling in ignoring the monster queue. Hence this is the first year for many years I've bothered to get a queuebuster ticket, because I am NOT getting caught up in all that again.

But if you're not getting there until mid-morning you'll have no problem. Any queue will have gone by then.

Famous last words dear boy lol

I missed the hoohah last year, because that rascal Jimbibblywibbly had me up at Excel by 8am helping him set up. I shall expect a large breakfast in return for the same this year. ;)

really looking forward to the Battlefield, DWMG, 7TV and the super secret project tables of which I followed the buildup on this forum.

Don't try it. You know there's a volcanic ash cloud just waiting for you...  ;)

See everyone else around 1.30.

But is there a pre- or post-con meeting on some suitable premises? ;)

Post would be good  :)

Unfortunately, Excel is in a godforsaken, post-industrial wasteland that used to be London's docks...  ::)
Not many good watering holes in the vicinity... Just a vast network of dual carriageways and industrial parks, Bladerunner style gated developments for merchant bankers, and the occasional leftover sink estate...

And if, like me, one is travelling by car, then heading on into central London afterwards is not a great option...  :(

I should be there before noon - Bakers Dolphin, Central Line and the DLR willing.

For those who don't know me (usually via GWP), I'm big, greying with a goatee beard and a walking stick.
