Ninja makes a table (lots of poorly taken pics)
« on: March 11, 2011, 08:41:32 AM »
It so it began almost a year ago ninja's first attempt at a table and using snow.. Tell me what you guys think good or bad.

The foam flew in to a fine powder as he cut the boards with his laser-like gaze and his katakana blade.

It was then the younger ninja realized he had never really tried water effects. A test piece must be made he shouted to his dog!

The dog knew they must be successful or his master would be forced to burn his little dog house down. So they worked...

The dog knew they must be successful or his master would be forced to burn his little dog house down. So they worked...

After many hours the table was complete they death count worldwide dropped by nearly 3% as the ninja had paused from his slaying to focus on his hobby.

The ninja finally sat down to view his work just as he did his kills of larger prey (dragons or krakens or dragakens).

As his gaze wandered at what he had wrought he flew into a ninja rage when he realized there were no trees. He was forced to kill many unicorns to sate his anger and just to make good karma he also toppled a drug cartel.

Then  bam

Now I know the pics are crappy they were taken most often as an after thought using a cell phone.

Hope you enjoyed it. I look forward to sneaking into your house and stealing your minis soon!

Nice, like the water effect.

Snow needs to be less patchy though and varied through to meltwater/ice if in decline, more scrubby if tundra and thicker if middle of winter etc... There was a post on snow base types I think recently, otherwise a quick google search should come up trumps.

Looking good, some very nice details. The water effect has worked very well.

It turned out great! At first I wasn't sure about the sharp edges but I must say as a whole table it works. Stylized, sort of.

Agree on the snow, needs to be spread a bit.

That is an IMPRESSIVELY WELL DONE gaming board; the water effect is quite SPECTACULAR.

Awesome table. I love the water!  ;D  But spread the snow and collect large quantities on the high plateaus.

Good work and thanks for sharing!

So more snow towards the top?
I wanted to get a feel that the snow was almost melted with just a few piles here and about. I had once noticed large singular pile ups in a trip to the northeast of the US, it seemed odd to me at the time and it always stuck with me I though I would have it a go.

Any other comments are welcome.

I can't wait to have enough space to attempt something like that.

Very inspiring stuff! I would love to see a game on it!
