This seems to be one of the most popular competitions err matches.  I'm going with matches it is more European.  I'm not sure if it is the closest match, but people seem to be enjoying it.  I'm taking another look at the matches that have drawn the most comment, as I seem to be involved in one of them, and I can't help think I'm losing.  Going to have get my scenery and my miniature collection in the same building it seems, that and acquire a real camera instead of going with the iPhone...

Good luck in round 2 which since I already painted mine, I want to start soon, now round 3, round 3 can take its sweet time showing up...  ;-)

Hardest choice of the lot so far (maybe competition) and if it was not for the language I would have voted the other way.  Prudish of me but it does not sit right - sorry.

Both are excellent entries.

Raz, who makes " Fuck the State"  in your entry?

Chairface, he's one of the spacelord civilians from EM4, http://em4miniatures.com/acatalog/Civilians.html. When I saw him, my first thoughts were that he could look very much like a punker from the eighties (at the moment I'm writing educational content on postworld youthculture), hence the language. The rapper with all the bling is from the same range.

Hammers you've misinterpreted Andrew Beasley.  lol

He voted for you, as he objected to the swearing on the other entry.

Bezzo, I fear you have misinterpreted Hammers  ;)
Think he was being ironic  ::)

....and to think the British invented irony and I didn't spot it  >:(

To be honest I was a bit mischievous since I think Raz deserved a better reason for not getting that vote.

Well I've lead an evil life, so they say, but I'll outrun the Devil on judgement day.

Oh, come on Bezzo! It's just a national cliché... It is even used in Pixars animated film 'Ratatouille': 'We hate to be rude but... we're French! It's dinner time!' :)

People, thank you all for the votes cast for my entry. I thought myself that Raz's entry was a worthy winner. Hard to know what gives you the edge...

I thought I'd show you a new image of the  Ye Olde Playing Company of Totleigh-In-The-Wold, in their much lauded production of Robyn Hod and the Shryff off Notyngham

From left to right Sir Walter Shortman-Sindrom as John Little, Miss Campanula "Totty" Tottington as Robin of Sherwood, Mr Richard Lloyd as Maid Marion, reverand John Ford as the Sheriff and two nameless stage hands as the Horse. And look at the priceless piece of comedy: the lead horse actor, to his fellow's chagrin,  has 'forgotten' to put his trousers on! Ahahaha!

As you can see the 6th member has emerged, quite literally. She stood head first in a  pot of dirty paint brush water, completely concealed by the muck.
