Mini companies: Please sculpt Not Star Frontiers Races
« on: March 18, 2011, 04:40:13 PM »
Please Please. And not jsut one. But enough to have some varieties.

Reaper has a good Drasalite stand in, and GW just released that $50..0 Jaekero that with some added wings would be a great Yazarian.

Please make these.

Then make sets for Alien Legion.

I am not working on a project anything like this. I especially haven't been buying old Star Frontier miniatures for inspiration. And I have not been doing sketches of something called a Slathon because that would be too close to being a Sathar.

Wow! Yeah, cool! I had both box sets (Alpha Dawn and Night Hawks) and a number of supplements, including "Zebulon's Guide to the Frontier"! (Which I remember studying intensely with my friend on the bus on the way to summer camp.)

I'd also like to see some Non-SF Minis. Escpecially Hummas and Yazirians.
Far less active than I used to...

A while ago, I bought a couple of the old Star Frontiers mini sets on eBay, just because they looked cool.  Never played the game back in the day, but I remember seeing ads for it in comic books.

Of course the miniatures are small compared to most of the rest of my collection, but I will try painting them up someday ::) .  They have that sleek high-tech look that most science fiction minis don't have these days.  So, I'd consider buying some miniatures done in a similar style, but scaled up to fit with current 28-30mm figures. Or whatever scale we're calling them now....

And I would like to NOT thank you as well Mr Cook. SF was one of the funnest games I ever played. I am getting ready to start a mini campaign for my 8 & 11 yr old to play

So some NOT Yaz and Dras and Vrusk would be great.

This is what I like about LAF: I hadn't even thought of Star Frontiers in like 20 years and BAM! this thread comes along and I'm thrown back on memory lane. As far as minis are concerned, I've prepared a statement:

I, Sir Dryden, fully support the sculpting of not-Star Frontiers minis, especially a pack of not-Dralasites (I played one back in the days!) for which I might even shell out some of my hard earned money, even though I have absolutely no use for them. You know, nostalgia and everything.

Yours truly,

Sir Dryden

PS If you've ever played or heard about Star Frontiers, you MUST check out Parriah's links. He's got EVERYTHING there, even the sweet, sweet maps and the cardboard counters!
