My graceful swan dive from my initial improbably high ranking seems to have slowed, and I'm actually winning my Round 10 matchup, so it's possible I'll finish in the mid-50s rather than right down near the bottom!

Don't get too hung up on the numbers. The point of the competition is motivation to paint more figures and challenge you to do your best.  Any given week half the "losers" probably could have "won" versus some other team.  As long as you had fun, painted some figures and improved over the competition - it was worth it.

The organizer of this years LPL is Captain Blood who deserves much credit and of course, the founder of the forum, Prof.Witchheimer who has also managed a number of leagues, and though I'm not certain, probably the one who thought of the league in the first place.

True enough. Everyone who competed can I think be very proud of the achievement - to be honest I've found it hard work managing to vote in every round, let alone compete. And there have been some lovely entries from loads of people - this competition is a great testament both to the skill of the LAFers, and also to the great spirit of humour, experimentation and all-round delicious strangeness that infests this board. Well done everyone!
