... and here is the first photo of the action. The pic below is a comparison pic that I used to loosely base the thatch house on. Can you spot all the differences in the pictures?

ps. I haven't fixed the tank inscription yet, but I will soon :)

to make your picture more photo-like, have a look at this tutorial.

how did you made the roof? modelled it or is it broom hair or fur with white glue?

"Uh, I better look in the manual... This book must be out of date. I don't see "Prussia", "Siam" or "autogyro"...

I love Perry miniatures! If only they would do more zombies, but I guess that would break their no-competition deal with GW...  I just threw that pic together in a hurry, so I only smudged what I absolutely had to!  Thanks for posting the link!

As for materials for the house, I am almost done an article which is an expose on all of the popular thatch methods as well as a few not-so-popular ones. I will post a link when it is done (hopefully tomorow).

That article is great!

I've had some African mud huts I began over a year ago, just sitting around because the thatch roof was taking too long. Your towel method will be attempted this weekend and hopefully I can have something to show for it next week.

Thanks for sharing.
