I'm about to complete a load of FIW stuff I've had on a slow burn for about 18 months now.  Here's the first of a wide range of combatants I am in the process of finishing off:

Gage's Light Infantry.  Old Glory's finest... More Indians soon.

Nice detail, especially on the Indian's leggings.  I posted up some pics of some Conquest Miniatures native Americans I'm painting, in the "Other Adventures" section:

How do you like the Old Glory figs...?  I was all set to buy them until a friend referred the Conquest line to me....

Thanks, all. GM-Hope to have a few more done over the coming days. Mike, the OG stuff is of fair quality and inconsistent, but the British regulars look pretty good overall.

As promised, the next load of recently finished F&IW.

First, OG French artillery. Nothing great with respect to the quality of the miniatures, but suitable for the tabletop.

A few different batches of Indians.  This first row is OG.  I started these about 18 months ago and worked just a bit here and there on them until recently.  You can see the evolution of my concept of how to paint Native American skin, roughly, from left to right.

Here is batch of the OOP Conquest Woodland Indians. Again, painted gradually over a long time.  Painterly evolution also in effect.

Conquest Sauk and Fox warriors. Somewhat less varied in skin tone.

A few close ups of these. Some of my favorite Conquest sculpts to be sure.

Wow!  Very nice!  Your work really brings out the muscle tone in the figures.  Those Sauk and Fox warriors are next to go up on the painting table for me, too!

Wow, can't believe it's been so quite.

GREAT work on the face-paint in your close ups.  I'm really enjoying all the work that has been shown here lately and yours is worthy brushwork.  Thanks for the photos.

Thanks much, gentlemen.

Now for the latest installment:

OG grenadiers.  Again, no great shakes, but fine for gaming purposes.

Magua. He's ready to f--k you up (!) after another spritz of dullcoat.

And, my latest Galloping Major. A Milice test figure. I'm thinking one squad with red hats and a second with blue ones.

Please tell me you are using Vallejo paints!  If so, how are you achieving that leather look on the Milice's bag?

Beautiful "beadwork" on the bag by the way.  I really like the grey streaks in Magua's hair as well, it's that type of thing I never think of, great detail giving it life.  I've got a fig picked out now that will get some grey hair.

Fergal, mostly VMC on these, with some Reaper here and there. The bag is simply a VMC Flat Brown base coat, 50:50 Flat Brown:Beige Brown mid tone, and a final highlight of pure Beige Brown. That's it. Glad you like them.
