Up-coming Old West stuff from Galloping Major
« on: September 15, 2014, 09:37:05 PM »

A couple of gunfighters for The Western Range, one armed with a pair of Colt Peacemakers, the other carries a big gauge sawn-off shotgun and has a holstered revolver. When this pack is completed and ready for release I'm thinking of calling it "Hired Guns & Hard Cases" - the first of an occasional series within the range.
These two were sculpted at the same time as the first of the cavalry troopers, a third figure is completed and the fourth is currently in work in progress.

Nice.  :D

The 'tache on the gent with the street howitzer is just about big enough.  ;)

Excellent additions to the range. ;D

I was wondering when you'd be adding to the range. Will they have mounted versions?

those are nice
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

Is the Homesteader going to be in this pack or will that be another pack for the future?

Mason, that's right Homesteader isn't one of this pack, he'll appear later as part of another pack

Thanks Nick,
I haven't fully decided yet. I like mounted and dismounted versions. Cowboys, Indians and cavalry etc (eventually) will all have mounted versions, unsure about how many "town types" to do as mounteds. I know a lot of gunfight gamers are only really interested in dismounted versions though.
Any thoughs folks?
Cheers,
Lance

For me personally I like the idea of being able to switch my figure from a mounted to dismounted version. Even in a town based game I might want my gunfighter to jump onto a horse and escape town, or come riding in to shoot it up, before dismounting and entering the bank/sheriffs office etc.
I guess not so relevent for the townsfolk, although the posse will need to be mounted :D

I agree with Nick I like to have a mounted version of the main protagonists. Townsfolk aren't so important but a man of means needs a horse.

I realise though from a manufacturers point of view it can be unfeasable though.

Very nice figures will have to get some when they are released.
I agree it is nice to have mounted versions of foot figures but is there enough trade to make it economic?
