Urban Walls
« on: 09 April 2011, 09:55:42 AM »
Hi everyone!
I just released a new tutorial!
If you like to sculpt your own things, it is a nice way to have good quality pieces with a few hours of work!

the piece has of course to be moulded and casted, it is only the master!

cheers,
Jack

A lovely piece of work Jack, good design. Presumably you're going to continue to make the pillars and short sections in your drawing. Any ideas for a gate?

Thanks Matakishi! :)
yes, i have to make the pillars and other shapes of the wall. For the gate... i think i will make a steel one and a wooden one! good from 1900s to future scenery! =)

Lovely piece of work Jack. I love your tutorials, they are always inspirational, and yet your ideas are so elegantly simple, that one is left slapping one's head saying "why didn't I think of that!!" Bravo sir!!!

They will stop degrading us,
They will not control us,

until the wall will not be casted and painted, it isn't easy to figure out the real look: the china wash isn't really accurate, i think that with a selective brush i can do better!! :)

After finishing that piece, i decided that casting it - even if only for myself - should be a bit a waste of resin, since it is too massive.

now i'm gonna make a "layer" which can be glued on any support, much cheaper and easyer to modify!

here is the sketch i did a couple of minutes ago:
