The more I see of this little spin off zed theme the more I like it.
Especially as I have more than enough mantic zeds, period survivors & heresy ghouls kicking about the place.

Lovely mercs by the way, paint breakdown would be good.

Also as an aside, I'm looking for enough bits to make up say three more 'empire' looking survivors. I have a load of free company sprues but fancy a few as illustrated here. If anyones got any spares let me know.

Finally, anyone mixed warlord pike and shot with mantic zeds/ghouls? Got a feeling those and perry stuff are 25 mm 28mm straight at best rather than 'heroic' 28mm like GW and mantic zeds, (which are quite tall).

At last, an idea that won't cost me any money! :)

Eh eh Mason, how could you resist to a ghoul eating a baby?  :-* So cruel that is lovely
and in heresy range there is the lovely ghoul kid too, perfect to be a tiny terror for P&S&Z! BTW, do you know other ghoul/zombie kids figures?

hey Commander! Thanks :)
mantic zeds are a little smaller than gw heroic scale. I think they could fit quite good with perry or warlord. Anyway, as I am assembling some I will take a gw/mantic comparison pic (I do not have any warlord or perry  :'( ) And... in the P&S&Zrules pdf there are some pics of mixed warlord/assault group survivors next to some mantic zeds and they seems to fit good...

Zombiesmith has a girl in nightgown that can easily pass for renaissance/medieval (I have it painted with basic colours on my painting station, but another stalled task - related to my modern zombie project).

Studio's kids, alas, are all too modern.

Any figures could be fairly easily converted to zombies.
Take a look at Pappa Midnight's Victorian zed thread for an excellent example of converting just about any figure into a zombie;

Absolutely amazing work, inspired and amusing at the same time.
Each one a masterpiece in its own right.
Highly recomended!

No need for a GW Mantic pic, its warlord vs mantic I need bud. Had another look last night at the 60 horde box set I have, yup they are a little slighter than GW, but still long in the torso!

I know it mate. Superb work  :-*
I've forgot to lurk down there. Now I'm going to drink those 26 pages of zombidelicious stuff  ;D

@Lowtardog: anevilgiraffe is doing a wonderful job! :) really inspiring conversions!

@Commander Vyper: do not know if it could be usefull for you but...there was a mantic and warlord combo halloween offer of WWII german plastics from Warlord and Mantic plastics zed to make nazi zombies. There is some conversion pics on their website. I know they are german and not ECW or TYW but I think they are the same scale.

Yup saw that last year, (you think something Zed related I miss???!? ;)). Would be good to see the ECW/pikemen stuff though but get what you're saying.

Warlords plastic ECW + Mantic ghouls and zombies and perhaps a few GW bits for good measure and you should be all set. You could do the same to landsknechte, thats what I am doing for our Eisende Project. Cant have a little village by the coast without a zombie visit?

lol You are right, OBVIOUSLY you have seen that stuff bud...

@Galland: if you have a little village by the coast you HAVE to plan a zombie plague. Maybe it's me but zombie is needed almost everywhere lol Did you buy P&S&Z rules or are you going to run something different mate?

Hehe exactly. However, they (the zombies that is) will all be controled by a mage or vampire, all accordingly how zombies work in the Warhammer lore. They dont just appear and go rampage, they have to be controled and have very simple and clear orders. I dont see this as a problem though. I am quite sure that we can find a suitable candidate for the evil master part of this :)

We are using Mordheim rules and it works just fine. However, we have been thinking about modifying some of Two Hour Wargames rules for this, to put them in to a fantasy setting. I got a bit interested in the rules that you have been trying and it will be fun to read more about them.

hey guys! :)
This period is really hard for me and Faber: we are studying hard for college exams, we have one on 19th and one on 20th December  :o
So, we are not working on this project so much as we would like. Anyway, we have a little upgrade for you.
In effect we finished to carve the first two islands' floors. Here's the result:

and the second bit:

What do you think about?
Unfortunately is a painstaking and super slow job :( and we are very busy so... a long time needed to see it finished.
BTW, January will be a more relaxed month so we will work harder on the project!

Cheers

i really love it!!!

actually, it is quite a long time-consuming work: why don't you just sculpt a piece one (maybe on a better detailed material) and then cast it in resin???

Ok, i'll come in bologna in 3 weeks, if you are interested in this (i mean, you do the work, just giving some suggestions ;) )

hm, we have to talk about. Yes, is a time-consuming work but with a super result IMO... BTW we have not the knowledge to do this different lol
maybe it will be helpful to talk with you in RL. If I understand it right you'll be here in Bologna for the beginning of January! :D
I'll shoot you a PM with my mobile number so we can organize a meeting at Calopide's house where the project is ;)

cheers Jack!
