@Sangennaru: I quote what Faber said about... We are waiting for you and your luggage of how-to! :D The Chamber of Toys' door is always open for inspiring people! see you in January!

@Ninja: many thanks! It will be cool to play on such a detailed paviment...I'm lookin forward for my first miniatures game ever and it would be a great start on this board! :D

BTW, feel free to suggest different paviment patterns guys! And, we have to carve the big central island an we would like to do something particular on its center...something like a mosaic or whatever...any suggest?  ???

That certainly is effective  8)

For the middle section a huge round mosaic with the Empire eagle in the middle of it might look good  :)

cheers

thanks James! :)
I'm happy you like it.
About mosaic: I agree, it has to be circular to break the square scheme. About the Empire eagle...I think that probably is better something neutral something like it:

I'm not sure this would be so easy to carve... lol
Maybe I have to try a bit before going on the central piece.

cheers

You could use a paper template and push a pin through the paper into the foam at all the corners and then join up the 'dots' to give you your outline  :)

Great stuff Calopide!

The effort that you have put into the flagstone has certainly paid off, they look fantastic!
The more I see of these, the more I feel that I need to make something similar to create that extra level in my project. It also creates instant alleyways when not used as a canal....
Hmmm..... Consider this idea stolen borrowed!

Now that, my good Sir, is a clever idea!

And welcome to me!

I think this is not the place where to make compliments to your mothers to have made you so prolific; isn't it?  ;)

so I'll make you compliments for all your creations; I think the pattern of the flagstone is very impressive (impressed even me!); who did it? faber or calopide? well done.

how about  this :   ;) ;)

for the central part?

bye!

How about using something similar to Kritikor's suggestion but replacing the initials with your own?  ;)

welcome Tom! Kritikor is a friend of mine (well, I'm probably more related to his mother, but that's another story ;))
Thanks for the compliments mate. The pattern was sculpted by me and Calopide in randomic proportions. It's pretty easy when you find out the way to do it.
About the central part, a Scaligeri's ladder is a wonderful idea, knowing my passion for them. :)

BTW I'm glad to see you here on LAF. It's a modelling goldmine, trust me. ;)

cheers
(see you on 23rd or 24th)

Nice thought mate! In effect it could be a good chance to "sign" the entire project! :)

I cut a template out of plastic card and pressed it into the foam to create this symbol in the middle of my temple.
