Thanks! I wouldn't have recognized him as a Perry. Presumably an OOP sculpt?

Lovely job either way.

Been on the table for a while.  Lovely little sculpt, especially the face.

Last ones for a few weeks - probably.

Merciless Mercenaries

…There is nothing worse in the whole of Africa than when a white man goes bad…

They fight for anyone in return for money or treasure.  Gun-running, slaving, river-piracy and ivory poaching.  And just plain murder.  Nothing is too low for these providing the price is high enough.

Foundry figures converted.  Just the addition of an eye-patch here.

Added a TAG machete.

The shotgun is now a sawn-off, slightly repositioned left arm and machete added.  Hat was folded one-side and shade added at the neck.

Added a pistol holster – TAG again – and a second ammo belt.

With all four the painting is a big part of the conversion.  Aimed for rugged and slightly unkempt look.

These seem kind of dark for you.  Are you experimenting with a new style?

I like the conversions, especially the eye-patch one.

Love the conversions; particularly the guy holding the machette behind his back
"Ho, ho, ho! Well, if it isn't fat stinking billy goat Billy Boy in poison! How art thou, thou globby bottle of cheap, stinking chip oil? Come and get one in the yarbles, if ya have any yarbles, you eunuch jelly thou!"

Cool stuff, OT! I also like the conversions a lot and especially the Corto Maltese with the eye-patch. Small simple change, but great character.

For all of the figures in this "project" I toned down my highlighting as I thought it might suit the subject matter and be slightly quicker to paint.  For these particular figures, due to the "back story" I went for an even "darker" look.

Not so much a new style, as a variation of my "standard."  Though I'm always experimenting with my painting.  Part of the fun.   :)
