Triples 21st/22nd May Grimsby display game

The Battle of Oudenaarde (or Oudenarde) was a key battle in the War of the Spanish Succession fought on 11 July 1708 between the forces of Great Britain, the Dutch Republic and the Holy Roman Empire on the one side and the French on the other. It took place at Oudenaarde

The game is 28mm and Paul and Andy will be displaying the 28mm,here is what the game is about.

Relief force from the Maritime Powers with Imperial support trying to remove the French army besieging Huy. It's a "what if" scenario based on the manoevurings in 1708 that should have gifted the French victory but actually led to the French defeat at Oudenaarde.

Sounds like an awesome convention especially because the battle you are recreating is a battle that has been fought only 16 kilometers from my house, I've been to the reenactment of the battle and was really impressed by the artillery and the colorful uniforms!

Well i know the lads will be putting on a great game,alot of work and research has gone into it and of course photos will pop up on here
