Both excellent entries. I do so love to see a contest that looks like the figures could/should be battling each other...!  ;)

It is a blue Slann. A BLUE Slann. I don´t believe it.   8)

Not the green as anything could also be an Goblin green Slann, we are used to see.

Bravo. Do you have some more figures or pictures of them. Please.  :)

My poor goblins are fighting against more enemies with better paint job, better variation, better terrain and better picture.
Maybe should have sent the full unit, but though that it would have made the picture worse.
Should't it be Magnificent Seven or?

Sorry for the poor pictures by the way. The models are really nice ones. Got somewhat pissed that I was forced
to use something old(not shown though) due to planned models not arriving until yesterday.

Where are the goblins from? Are they old school?

No, the Magnificent Sven was a campaign scenario from the early days of Warhammer Fantasy Battle, and the figures shown represent characters from the scenario.

I see. Sven it is then.:)

The goblins are actually not so old and were made by Bob Olley and Kevin Adams and sold together.
Later these ranges were sold off separetely. Olleys goblins are not available yet. Adams I do not know.
I think the ones in the picture are Olleys as they differ a little sculptwise from Adams.
Even if Adams is supposed to be the goblin master, I prefer to call Olley both the true goblin master
 and also dwarf master.

This is actually the forth round I have used Olley sculpted miniatures.
Drinking Dwarfs, Pirate Dwarfs, Space Dwarfs(two of them) and finally these goblins.

Great entry Ugsome! I really love most of the things Bob Olley sculpts (though I painted an Essex skeleton which I was less fond of) and your goblins are lovely! Unfortunately for you I really do love the variation and old school goodness of Thantsants entry! Excellent work, I love the Slann (back when they got a lot more 'screen-time') and hope to paint my Slann some day too!

It is a blue Slann. A BLUE Slann. I don´t believe it.   8)

Not only blue, but a yellow/black/white one too!

Ugsome, what is in the background of your entry?  Is it a tree or something?  I swear, Ive been staring at it and I can't figure it out...

Oh, and nice base work!  Are those integrated bases?

The bases are normal GW bases with a piece of plastic sheet with dungeon floor engraved.
Bought it from Antenociti. Then I added little extra greenish moss/goo.

The background is actually a book. A 35 year old book bought in Italy when I was a very young.
I think it is cork. The pages are at least made from cork.
From the outside it really look like an old wizards book or something. Never used it for something.
Couldn't get rid of it though as it do look quite cool. :)

Great Gobbos Ugsome! Love the tones you've gone with them.

Been away for a few days and was sweating a bit as I thought the voting was and is rather tight - best of luck for the rest of the round!  :)

I thought the Slann might go down well and they actually got more paint time than the adventurers! Thought I'd go for poison tree frog patterns as they're armed with blowpipes...  ;)

As for the Magnificent Sven bit - I had hoped to field all seven of the scenario characters (hence the name! Plus  I think the scenario is based on the storyline of the film) but I'd already painted Juggo the Dwarf berserker and Aygar Mistletaine the wizard is moonlighting as a mad hermit in my Orc's Drift project!

I hope to give the Slann a bit more screentime myself as I have a small warband, including warhounds and a slaver, waiting in the wings - need to knock Orc's Drift on the head first though - oh and get on and finish my round 10 entry!  :o
