Upstairs Downstairs collection from Foundry
« on: May 12, 2011, 09:23:16 PM »
Some awesome minis here for horror gaming. I love the Town Officials and the Dumping the Body miniatures. However, the Gentlemen Shooting Party collection could be used to field the majority of a British Monster Hunter warbands for CinCar.

I'm pretty happy about the recent Victoriana releases. I picked up the Victorian Police collection and I am lovin' them. Although pretty eclectic the upstairs/downstairs one has some nice stuff as well.

Foundry are excelling themselves with the recent Victoriana minis. I actually bought a pack off them last month for the first time in 10 years (though I grumbled heinously at the extortionate shipping fees)... I'm sorely tempted to just put aside some cash and buy a couple of the collections in one go! Really nice figs in there.

Really??? Have to disagree, the quality of their recent sculpts have been pretty poor tbh, which is a shame.

Their miniatures are too expensive for my taste even if they have quite a lot of cool models I would consider buying.

Still, the Farm Workers looks like the possible start of a proper angry mob...

I'd have considered the figs expensive, but not prohibitively so. Of course, I won't be buying them. Most of what I get is found in cut out bins, and I don't expect to see these in any, any time soon.  lol

Really.

There are always a few models that look a bit weird in every pack, but they're no worse than, say, Blue Moon or Westwind. Now, their recent Napoleonics were freakin awful, and I wouldn't touch em with a bargepole. Their Victorian ranges, however, make me feel warm inside. Someone's actually supporting Victorian gaming for Pete's sake!  :)

And that's praise? ;) Seriously though Westwind and Blue Moon both suffer from the odd sculpting issues on a number of their minis.

I know what you mean, but come on Foundry have been trading on past glories for years, recent sculpts have been formulaic to say the least and their flat rate overpriced £8 uk postage you can just forget.

Shame that some of the other companies couldn't work on a few nicer victorian figures
