New Eureka 28mm randomness
« on: May 19, 2011, 08:26:08 AM »
I received a new parcel of Eureka pre release miniatures this week. I'm in the process of packing house and moving away on Monday, so I'm kind of stuck for time for half decent photography and my charger is packed, and the camera low on juice so I can't do anymore pics either. I *hope* to redo pics in about 2 weeks when I'm shifted and unpacked, and also to photo the items not done. I've listed everything because I *know* a couple unphotographed items will interest people enough they will want to jump in and order them anyway sight unseen.

Revolutionary French zombie - 2nd zombie released

Cold War Russians in NBC suits

The complete gun is not shown, the third tripod leg is left out as well as the ammo cannister attached to gun. It's the same one as the previous Afghan release.

Cold War US in NBC Suits [no pics :( ]
1x AA shoulder missile launcher
2x M60
2x M16 with under grenade launcher
6x M16

Baron Munchausen II - late 1700's adventurer

The shade branches attach to the horse with pin lugs in holes.

Baby Alligator
about 3" long, looks very life like, almost done as a test piece, though might work in with the frog/turtle armies down the track.

Michael Moorcock's Countess Flana

A regular well dressed woman with an odd bird stylised face mask and neck ruff. She appears to be bare shouldered. The putty work on her exposed body 'feels' a little angular to me. Without inking or painting the face mask I can't see it very clearly either, but that's my eyes.

Swimming Mermaids

Details are quite soft

Revolutionary Wars French [no pics]
100WFR17 Grenadier, casque, ragged campaign uniform, advancing (4)
100WFR18 Grenadier, casque, ragged uniform uniform, firing line (4)
100WFR80 Chasseur, bicorne, short tailed jacket, march-attack (6)
100WFR81 Chasseur, bicorne, short tailed jacket, skirmishing (6)
100WFR82 Carabinier, bicorne, short tailed jacket, march-attack (4)
100WFR83 Carabinier, bicorne, short tailed jacket, skirmishing (6)
100WFR84 Light Infantry officer, bicorne, regulation long tailed jacket with pointed lapels (2)
100WFR85 Light Infantry officer, bicorne, short tailed jacket (2)
100WFR86 Light Infantry drummer, bicorne, short tailed jacket (1)
100WFR87 Light Infantry standard bearer, bicorne, short tailed jacket (1)
100WFR88 Light Infantry mounted officer, bicorne, regulation long tailed jacket with pointed lapels (1)

I'm told that's the final release of the planned French infantry

Samurai rabbits with back banners and helms

Back banners and the V on 2 of the helms are separate

After unpacking and moving I am *hoping* to finally have time for gaming again and possibly posting more useful stuff than just some Eureka releases, maybe even a few game reports and updated research on my Aztec projects which is about 2 years past, and my thesis on the use of bows and slings by Aztec nobles at about 20 pages of evidence and discussion. Woohoo, time for miniatures again

Ah so Kosta did drop off the modern US in gasmasks. Cool, I must go and collect some.

Is it just me or does the French Revolutionary Zombie looking disturbingly like the late Michael Jackson?

Mortar barrel is on upside down again btw. Note the mortar is a different mini to the earlier Afghan version.

Some of them models I realy like.

The zombie frenchy and the cold war ruskies is really tempting, as well as the lady with the mask.

Having seen them painted up on the Eureka stand they´re very nice indeed. As to hallucinogens, one can only wonder  :o

I thought the zombie was also familiar.

Sorry about the mortar, I am totally ignorant of moderns. I will probably do it next time too :(

A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://tistaminis.com/

I'm glad to hear that the Legere are finally finished. My wallet is already hurting though.

 lol lol lol

I love the Moorcock character. I've always wanted to game the Granbretan Vs Camargue battle in Count Brass (I think :? ) .

I have a suitable "Count Brass" figure - I just need the rest of the two armies  ::)

Giant flamingoes with riders, anyone?  lol

I love these postings.  Thanks, cdm.

The zombified Napolean is great, as are the samurai rabbits; cute furry creatures at Splintered Light, beware!

I'm looking forward to seeing the Cold War Americans in NBC suits!

Twilight 2000 and 80s zombie games ahoy!
