Gamers familiar with GW lizardmen
« on: May 27, 2011, 10:01:22 PM »
I bought some GW lizard-men from a source or two and started assembling the "larger than the bow armed 'skinks' type" figures.

I attached the head and spiked weapon arm but… where does the shield go again? The shield itself has a recessed centered round spot on the "back" but I don't see a stub/dimple where it would attach.

Nice figures, much less cartoony than many others. Somewhere between LOTR figures and "Over the Top" 40K figures I have seen.

Gracias,

Glenn

If I remember correctly those skinks carry a small weapon in their left hand, the idea is that you cut that of so that it fits on the shield, but I'm not 100% on this I'm afraid, has been a while since I laid eyes on them.

YPU has it right, iirc you have a choice of javelin or blowgun, the other hand either has a little dagger, some darts or is just a clenched fist

You just glue the shield onto the left arm of the saurian warriors. For the skinks, you cut the weapon from the left hand and glue the shield on if you want the figure to have it. I kind of like the effect of keeping the small cudgel and attaching the shield too, so a coupla' figures have had this treatment.
Everything is better with lizardmen.

If it's these saurus warriors you talk about:

you can just glue the shield to the arm, I usually put some glue in the shield and place the hole over the knuckles. Sometimes the head is in the way though. The hole in the shield is for easier attachment to metal saurus warriors, which do come with a peg to fit the shield on.

Thanks for the advice and the picture, guys!   :)   8)   :-*

Guess these figures mean I can no longer say I never knowingly bought GW figures!  :o   :?

I need some mustard with those words to make them go down easier as I eat them.   ???  ::)

Gracias,

Gleen
