@Dan - Yes, that's the one. Great job indeed! Your model is great but I didn't had the jet engines for it. What did you use? Engines from a 1/35 A-10? And I see a lot of Robogear stuff - T-Rex cockpit, legs and a gun? And the rotors are PC fans, right? ;)

Nearly correct, the jet engines are from a 1/72nd scale A-10, you nailed the other bits ok.

Dan, I've just discovered your original thread. And I even posted there, lol (it took me 2 years to finish the damm project)! But now that I saw your pics, I'm afraid there's a big difference between our projects. My AT-AT is way bigger than yours, so that's why O mentioned the 1/35 engines.  I've used the AT-AT from Revell, one of those snap-kits.

Ah I see. I will keep a look out for the Revell version.

I really like neo-soviet builds. And this is definately a great model. I can't wait to see it weathered, and maybe photographed with some neo-soviet soldiers/minis.

Great work. More photos please.

I'm planning on working on it this weekend. I've just bought some AK Interactive weathering kits and I think they'll do the trick  ;)

Just a quick update - I'm still waiting for it to dry before doing more work - with lousy photos as usual:

With some light, you can see the "real" look:

All the panels were picked with a wash of AK-045 Dark Wash For Green Vehicles. Then I covered some spots (corners where the rain would pool when the ship was landed, etc) with wash of AK-046 Light Rust Wash.

Now I just need to add some light dust to the ship, some matt varnish and I'm done. Next weekend I'll take some photos with my Neo-Soviets ;)

Ok, The washes are dry. Here's how it looks right now:

Left Side:

Front:

From above:

Right side:

Now I just need to do a second wash in some spots - mainly decals - and then give it the dusty look.

Here's the final result:

"Sargent, are you sure this is our transport?"

"Yes, Comrade Lieutenant! We are on the right bay."

"Sigh... Order the robots to start loading the ship..."

"Comrades! This is our ship! I know it looks bad but I'm sure our comrades from Maintenance have checked everything!"

Mine has a drop down ramp at the rear but the landing gear has to be at full height  ;)

The back end of the ship opens (you just need to remove the piece there) and it can be used as a ramp.
