Rise of the Occulites - Floris Tribe sculpts completed!
« on: June 17, 2011, 12:06:38 PM »
Bob sent me photos of these this morning - and well... what can I say.  :-* I absolutely love them.

I also sent the Palaudis Tribe and Luftles off to be moulded and cast, so hopefully will have some samples over the next few weeks. I will be looking for someone to paint them up to use as the display models for the book and advertising, so if anyone can recommend a really fantastic painter - please do so.  ;)

Cheers,
Ben.

This collection is getting nicer and nicer. All factions have their own feel and culture. I have visions of flying reptile-like critters that patrol the skies above, but with your own Occulite twist. Keep up the good work, and I can't wait to see them painted.

Certainly some interesting minis - and Bob is doing great :)

And how does these differentiate from the Palaudis Tribe? Surely , they look more woolly - but other than that?

Thanks guys. :)

The Floris tribe differ in appearance as they are covered in leaves and prefer different weapons.
They differ more importantly in the evolutionary options that are available to them in the game.
In Dawn: Rise of the Occulites, there are basic evolutionary options that are available to every tribe, but then you have the more specific evolutionary options that are only available to certain races. As your Occulites grow and learn, they develop abilities that are specific to their area.

So basically, by picking a tribe, you are choosing a path.

All tribes are created equal. What happens from there is up to you...

Cheers,
Ben.

PS. Little Odo, it sounds like you're thinking of the Nimbus tribe - Occulites with feathers and bat wings.
