Excellent battle report and very nice warbands (nice to see good old Smiorgan Baldhead in there, too!  ;) ). Looking forward to seeing the other warbands.

Beautiful pics and table. Sounds like a very fun game, I enjoyed reading this. I wonder how the game would have turnd out if the Chaos warband had been the attackers?

OH BABY! Oh-so-pretty photos of oh-so-cool minis & terrain; LIFE IS GOOD...especially when one considers the alternative. I can see spending quite a bit of time staring mindlessly at all the photos. Thanks; it should keep me out of trouble...mostly.

Thank you, James.

And it WAS Chaotic....I was not expecting Bert to do that!
It certainly threw my plans into Chaos!

Excellent battle report and very nice warbands (nice to see good old Smiorgan Baldhead in there, too!  ;) ). Looking forward to seeing the other warbands.

Thanks, Heldrak!
Smiorgan is a wonderful sculpt!
He was originally a champion in my Marienburg warband, but I thought he was good enough to warrant a warband all of his own, hence the birth of the Nordlanders!
Will be posting pics of the other warbands soon.

Beautiful pics and table. Sounds like a very fun game, I enjoyed reading this. I wonder how the game would have turnd out if the Chaos warband had been the attackers?
Cheers, luckyjoe!
If the Possessed had been the attackers we would have had a very different game indeed, methinks!
Bert got to choose who was the 'attacker' and chose me.
I certainly was not expecting that!
His cunning plan almost worked, too!

Thanks, Al!
Stay out of trouble, my friend! ;)

Fair do's, mate.
You gave me a bloody tough game at any rate.
Your Chaos boys are pretty damn scary one-to-one, so any advantage has to be taken, if possible!

I have just realised that I had some pictures of Legionnaire Bert's Dwarf warband, The Pits Bog Stealers, in amongst those of the latest game. He had them with him as we were supposed to be playing a couple of games, but, as previously mentioned, my downstairs neighbour had other plans!

I will leave it to LB to elaborate on them.

(Many apologies for not posting these earlier, Bert!)

Here they are

And here they are doing the 'Conga' around the Docks!

Back soon with pics of the Undertaker's...

Love the docks in the middle of the table, looks really good.

Two shooty gangs could have a great firefight across that.

The Vertically Challenged Grumps look TERRIFIC...forming up into a conga line reveals a new side to the Dwarf persona.

Great report and what a wonderful table! All the walkways make the table look really good and dynamic. The warbands themselves are lovely too!  :-*

Thanks! It did work out well, Kitsune.
I think you are right about the shooty warbands. My Elves would have some fun on there!
Although if they had the same luck as the shooters in my Nordland band, maybe not. Not one wound inflicted by missile fire in the entire game!
Must have got their powder from the Dwarven supplier.. lol

Thanks, Deafnala!
The Dwarf persona could hide a lot under those beards!

Thanks, Pil!
The walkways do always make for a better game.

Finally got round to taking some pictures of the finished Undertaker's!

It has been completed for over a week now, but due to being unable to upload pics there has been a delay in posting the evidence.

I managed to get a few more small scenery bits done in that time, mainly for the interior of the Temple.

Will post these later when they are based.

Back to the Undertaker's;

After some deliberation with the placement of the upper storeys, I finally settled on this position for them.
This was mainly due to the position that the covered yard area had to be in to allow access via the ladder up to the living area.

The pics, with a few shots from various angles first

And some close-up shots of the exterior detailing

A shot of the interior of the ground floor workshop area.
This be where coffins are made.

And some shots of the first floor living quarters, above the workshop

I am pleased with the final result, after much deliberation over the placement of various sections so that the overall effect works.
I originally thought that this would be an easy project, a couple of hours at the most, to add a couple of storeys to an existing scenery piece.
How wrong I was!
It turned out to be quite a headache, trying to arrange everything so that it fits and is still playable.

I think it works now. As you can see, you can get from the ground floor level all the way up to the upper storey without having to climb.
A challenge to complete, but I think it was worth all the bother in the end as this piece will be usable in many more genres, not just as a Mordheim piece.

Next time I will post some pictures of the warbands featured so far.

Until then, I hope you enjoy looking at this as much as I enjoyed finally finishing it!
