A small update, well, a small part of an update.

Here is a stone hut, produced by LAF's very own Zaheer (so if you want one for yourself, send him a PM  ;)).

It will be serving a dual purpose in my projects.
It will be used as a Witch's Hut in Mordheim, its base fitting into a larger whole, but that will be made soon.
(All will be revealed. I have a plan!)

Not the best photo in the world, but you get the idea.

It will also be used in my Strange Aeons project as (surprise!) a Witch's Hut, but also as a Scene of Horror, hence the CD-sized base, allowing me to use it as a stand alone piece.

Here's hoping that you like it...

VERY COOL! I love the flowers & things growing on the roof...nice touch. VERY WELL DONE!
I'm rather into Witchy Things myself. This gives me some new ideas. Thanks, Amigo!

Or....you could use it as a witch's hut? ;)

Good work again, mate - I reckon you could rent it out as a yurt to the unsuspecting middle classes when it isn't being used for the purposes of devilry and witchcraft 8).

Those must be some big bees!  ;D

Thanks, DeafNala!
I needed a little growth on it for when it is finished, and the tufts seemed to fit the bill nicely.
Looking forward to see what this has made you dream up now...!

Thanks, Andy!
It is nicely sculpted and works for me.
Well done, Zaheer, I say!

Yes, it does look a little like that doesnt it?
Maybe two together would be something that would work well...

Great job, Mason :) Especially the work on the tufs, really brings the whole piece in as a whole :-*

But using a cd as a base...

Lovely work - got to get me some of those flowers for basing at some point.

Weren't there medieval(?) ice houses built in a similar fashion - could be a fun game where some rich aristo type sends in a band of mercenaries to acquire some ice for his G&T's - There  is sure to be a race for the table edge before the booty melts! And you thought warpstone was valuable  :D

Does the roof lift off by any chance - I'm seeing it as the entrance to a barrow, after I've recessed it into the side of a hill. I'm thinking the hill could be hollowed out too with, also with a detachable top so that any adventurers brave enough could venture inside...

I really like your buildings! This thread, amongst some other fantasy-building threads, is what gave me inspiration to start building my own Mordheim terrain. Thanks!

But using a cd as a base...

Thanks, Silversixx!
The tufts certainly made life easier.
 ;)

As for the cd base: There are two reasons behind this.

1. It is going to be used in my Strange Aeons project both as a scenery item and as a Scene of Horror.
A Scene of Horror is designated as covering a cd-sized base area, so that is the obvious solution.

2. It will be used in my Mordheim project as an 'insert', fitting into a hole in a much bigger scenery piece that I have planned. A cd is certainly any easy option for this, too.
 ;)

Thanks, Thatsants!
The flowers are certainly useful and very easy to use.
Get some!

The roof did indeed lift off.
I decided to stick it down, as neither of my intended uses required it to do so.
It would certainly work well in the way that you suggest.

Multi-functional, too...

ooops... forgot to keep tabs... Barn looks great (is there any interior action with that?), it's the small details on all of your building bases that really sell them...

do like that witch's hut, I think I have the same idea as you about the cd base... have something similar in mind myself...
