Wonderful work there Mason! I love what you've done with the entire town, but this is promissing to be another winner. 8)

I especially love the sandstone, and I think I will nick the idea for my own WIP buildings, once I get around to painting them. Looks much more real than all the blueish greys we usually see and I was reluctantly contemplating... :/

The overgrowth you did on the walled chapel a while back was pretty awesome; will you be doing something along the same lines on this one?
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

:-* Perfectly aged, Mason. I think I saw that in the back streets of Venice when I was there... Lots of damp in the dock/swamp parts of town.

Me or the building?
 ::)

That is pretty much the look I was going for, so: Thank you, Matt!
 :D

That really does look fantastic, following through this thread you can really see how your skills have gone to great to top class.

Cheers, dijit.
That is a wonderful compliment!
 :D

It's looking so realistic so far! The weathering effects bring it to life. Bravo!

Thank, Suber.
I hope that I dont bugger it up when it comes to bringing the various elements together... ::)

I will be doing some 'growth' work on this, as I see it as a bit of a 'signature' on my Krappefortt pieces.
It also hides a multitude of mistakes... ;)

I have finished putting the next floor together, windows now added and undercoated.
I will try and get a piccie up soon, along with the 'small' building that I am finishing at the same time.
 :D

Thanks, Oleary!

Take a look at Blackwolf's Loch in the Workbench section and you will see someone who has managed to take a rock (well, loads of them actually) and use it pretty much as it he found it, and you will see that a genius really can make it work.

I follow Blackwolf on Blogger and his terrain is brilliant. I'm sure he needs a break after the LPL and I'm waiting to see his next post pop up on my blogroll. Love his style.

As for the Watch House: The next level is almost built, just windows to add before texturing.
I will post a piccie or two tomorrow...

You may be interested to hear that I shall be collaborating with Mr Wolf on a project in the near future...

Here is the proof:

Another block of blue foam with added balsa and coffee stirrer woodwork and most of the GW windows left over from the mansion kit.

It should look much better once some colours have been slapped on.

It may look a little incongruous with the jettied front, but I hope to have that covered when I add the next level...which is much more complicated.
 ;)

Interesting design choice there. Wonder where this heading?

Watching the Witch Hunters' Lair develop is already becoming interesting...sort of a structural cliff hanger. Have FUN with the Beasty.

I thought that it may cause some confusion.
Where is it heading?
You shall see very soon.

Cheers, Al.
I am having fun with it, design-wise and painting.
As to whether it actually works....that could be a matter of opinion.

Surely, if it's a witch hunters' watch house it should be more of a holy pad?

Certainly looking good - I've seen the beast in person, and he makes a very nice model.... :D sorry, the beast in question is a very nice model!

These two are a pair of cheeky gits!

So, just for you two as I think it may be appropriate.... ::), here is the 'smaller' building that I forgot to post a pic of earlier.

Hope you like it...

The most important one on such a basic level. What would cities do without these little houses...  :)
