I have considered it after the Outpost figures caught my eye. I was dissapointed though at the lack of reading material on the subject other than Wikipedia.

Battling it out on snowy mountain passes etc really appeals to me. I'm also curious about the historical character with the big blonde mutton chops whose name I keep forgetting.(I think he's on the front of the out of print Osprey book.)

Am I right in thinking you are in fact behind the Outpost range?

I think you have the 1877 war in mind, Captain Gamma, rather than the 1828 one. Old "Mutton Chops" Skoboleff wasn't even a twinkle in his Daddy's eye in 1828.  :)

Hi Captain Gamma,

Yes I was the one who started Jeff off by commissioning some figures, along with providing a lot of the research info, although this range was for the 1877-1878. There is in fact quite a bit of literature out there for 1877 when one starts looking. Any help you need just email me sacredcarp@hotmail.com
