my first dabble in a twisted ECW pool...



painted my converted Witchhunter for my vaguely planned ECW Horror skirmish project... Witchfinder General meets Blood on Satans Claw meets Solomon Kane... details on the conversion are here... quite happy with the blacks, tried for slightly different shades, boots have a hint of light brown from the black for a worn leather look, and the leatherwork is a very dark brown... I had planned black hair as well, but it needed a lighter colour to bring it all out a bit more... the angry shouty head has a nice crease in his brow, but now I look at it, it's all gone a bit Cromwell warty - which all things considered isn't a bad thing...



I didn't shade the white collar, just slapped on the brightest white I had just so it stood out more, the other bits of white have been shaded though...

Well done indeed... it's taken me ages to get a half decent finish to our BUF which is all blacks on blacks - so refreshing to see someone get it right from the off. Well that's how it looks from here so don't go spoiling it.  8)

Very nice! I bought a couple of Warlord ECW sprues for the same purpose and I got them built and primed but I haven't done any painting on them. This fellow is very inspirational.

 lol he's not coming anywhere anymore... tis done...

cheers all, blacks are just the Foundry triad with various levels of different wash to tint it... only the boots are black blended with brown...

Great stuff. Makes me think I should find the time to get on with my Three Musketeers meets Solomon Kane meets Brotherhood of the Wolf project I have collected a nice pile of lead and plastic for. ::)
