Not the whole blood sucky thing, which came into England around 1732,

exactly... in the form of a spectre... a few return from the grave tales, but nothing that smacks of vampire... best you could hope for is revenant...

strictly speaking my ghouls are pushing it a bit, but there are plenty of things that would work... banshees are worth pursuing... and I'm going to be getting some bits from Eureka on Saturday...  :D

Banshees and spectres definately, marsh dwellers too, (deep ones or slightly shallower ones at a push)

Good stuff I'll be having a nose at Eureka at some stage as well, amongst other things! ;)

Ditto the Walter Map example from the 13th century.  Montague Summers, the well known fake Roman Catholic priest, who compiled the books on vampires which novelists and screenwriters have plundered ever since, shoehorned all sorts of revenants, werewolves and others into his "vampire" category, which has confused things.
Back from the dead, almost.

yep... quite a few English revenants, they tend to harrass people known to them...

some shockingly poor photos, but it's a gloomy day today... conversion of the Warlord ECW command sprue musician (again oddly - strange that I find that the most workable of the 3) to be in charge of the hunting dogs that any witch hunt needs...

I haven't decided on a head yet, but will be adding several heads to my head bag this weekend at Salute... I tried to replicate the pose from the Warlord Ancient Briton pack handler, so cut off one leg and repositioned it and it's ankle... little bit of g/s to move hands, arms and what have you...

of course, it does occur to me that I may now need to do one without the dog, so will need another command sprue... sigh...

No "Legend of the Headless Houndsman", then?

Coming along very nicely - you can feel the straining of the dogs and their handler in the poses.

Yep, that sums it up, great conversion work ;D
