Just read this in one hit. Great stuff & a great concept. The article on the feather pits you linked was very interesting. There used to be a small wooded hill near me which was the alleged site of a regular witches' gathering. They were apparently caught and hung there. I've heard of similar sites elsewhere. It could make a nice terrain feature?

I had to make an order up from 4ground, otherwise the postage would have been more than the order, so I went for this strong box cart...

quick pj really, nice easy kit to assemble - really recommend it... only minor tarting up required....

now this is something of an experiment - seeing if it works really for the members of Angel's coven or the mad mummers...

I did go a bit Wicker Man at first, with a panto hump and a jesters hat, but a) it didn't look quite right and b) it's a Redoubt figure and was tall enough, with the hat I couldn't even see him getting inside any buildings... but overall I like the basic idea and will be doing more randomly to pagan them up a bit...

Nice work on the cart.
Minimal tarting, you say?
One to remember, if thats the case.

Like the conversion on the mummer.
Obviously that was the influence on the Cawdor gangers in Necromunda.
Nice putty pushing.

The cart looks lovely painted! It's hard to believe its mdf!  :o

The masked dude reminded me of the Hammer Classic "A Plague of Zombies".

cheers...

yep - the cart was just tarted with some card (cut from those business cards ebayers pop in with your order - very handy them) for the more pronounced struts and some thin plastic rod to make the hinges instead of being recessed...

That cart looks brilliant.
I am sceptical about your 'minimal tarting' though - surely the raw product can't be that good looking  ;)
