Wet Blending (especially skin) How to's?

As the subject line says, I am looking for the best online how-to's on wet belnding techniques.  I am building a Slaanesh Daemon army, and I want to give them a good paintjob above my usual adequate basecoat, wash, recoat base color, drybrush highlights...

Any hints, people?  There is just too much skin on these models to not at least give wetblending a try...

from what I have learned I do have some general suggestions:
nowadays more and more video or youtube tutorials are in the web ... just text-explanations are not enough!
The best is, to really find someone who can show it to You directly. My experience is, that every brush-stroke and its direction is important.

Colour to thin ... and You will suck up the colour again. Colour to thick ... well ... that one is clear.

Also a good way to get closer is trying NMM, because in my opinion to really master NMM, you need wetblending. And I am not talking about these hallf-hearted NMMs, which look like some sort of stone-chainmail and such. I am not sure about the priming ... I am prefering pure black - or black with a white "fog-ing" afterwards.

Finally I know that there are a few good DVDs on the market about that technique - I think a well-known painter named "Jerome" got one for a start.

Thank you for these links, good question. I don't know, perhaps my paints are too thick, but I haven't been able to pull this off. It's too bad, as I would love to master the skill. That being said, I need to also PAINT more in the first place!

for wetblending I think going "wet-palette" is also a good start! This just keeps the colors at the same "state of liquidity" (viscosity?) for a long time. Also - when put into the fridge - one may keep the mixtures of his or her colours for days (literally)!

Great video tutorials, I've never tried my hand at wet blending, the closest to it have been tedious layering. I'll have to try this out when I put some paint on one of the giants I have laying around.

I don't know if this is going to be much help......an alternative is to use glazes,which gives a similar effect;

   Use a clear matte acrylic varnish as your medium,thin as you would paint.Now you add the colour in a ratio depending on the depth of what you are painting. In other words from dark to light,now because your glaze is transparent (because the varnish is the medium) it will allow a blended look and is a much softer technique than layering.Here I shall do a brief step by step:

 Base coat
 First glaze (because your glaze is transparent the base coat will show through)
 Second glaze,less pigment more varnish(so more of the base coat will show through,at the same time lightening).
 Et cetera,your final glazes will be almost all varnish,depending on the effect you want.

You know - we can wait for you to be healthy. In no way shape or form is it worth being in pain for.

Of course, this is coming out of the man who had his arm in a sling for 3 days because he pushed his tendonitis too far in order to get an army finished for a tournament.
