Warhammer Historical: Trafalgar
« on: 26 July 2011, 10:00:33 AM »
Hello everyone, sorry I've not been very active recently. A combination of lacrosse, exams and in life altogether have been getting pretty busy. Hopefully I'll be able to stick around for once!

I've been looking at Trafalgar by Warhammer Historical and I was wondering if anybody has played it so they can give me an insight into what the game is like? You'd be a fantastic help!
But then again, any comments on their new rulesets Waterloo, Gladiator and Kampfgruppe Normandy would be a great help as well.
So just some insight into the games folks, more specifically Gladiator and Trafalgar.

Thanks in advance,
Steve

We tried out Trafalgar last year. Several games with an assortment of forces.
To be fair, it looks great.

Relatively easy to play.

But we aren't likely to play it again.
Should have guessed what it would be like when we saw that you can use mortar vessels against other ships.
Gary, Glynis, and Alasdair (there are three of us, but we are too mean to have more than one login)

Trafalgar not bad its relatively easy to play and has good info on painting and rigging ships etc. There are better options for the others personally would not touch Waterloo with a 10 ft pole to many "red flags" that effect its credibility. Black Powder or Lasalle much better options.

Thanks guys, I'll probably end up purchasing the Trafalagar for more reading material than gaming rules. Thanks for the responses folks. You were a big help!

Thanks again,
Steve
