Bumping this thread up to inquire whether anyone has seen pics of the latest March or Die releases (command packs and tirailleurs algérien) ? They've been listed on the Artizan website for about three weeks now, but no photos have been added so far.

Hello Arthur. Just painted the flesh on the Artizan command packs!!! should be ready to photo in about a week.(i havn't picked up a brush in years and am having to re-learn) Very clean figures, painting up nicely so far. The figs in blouse and cork sun helmets in particular are real little crackers. will post again as soon as I have some ready.

Finally I hear you all cry. 1st wargames figure painted in about 10 years :o
I genuinely had to fight through painters block and this mini took about 5 or 6 times longer to paint than it would have years ago. Delighted that I completed 1 ,but wont know if I can still cut it with a brush untill I have some more practice under my belt. Lovely mini, well modelled and cast. Took a small liberty with the blouse and tried to depict a private purchase, (kinda ersatz), unbleached linen look. All constructive criticism welcome :)

What is the medal he is wearing?
I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with isn't it anymore and what is it seems weird and scary.

Hiya ghostie.
its supposed to be the Medaille Coloniale,(instituted in 1893).As you can see from the attached image the central blue band on the ribbon needs a thin white stripe in it. I will attempt to paint it in after my dodgy Humbrol matt varnish decides to dry!!! 24 hours and counting.

Any progress on the photographic front, Mike ?

Pics are more critical for the command sets as it is more important to know which figures go into which pack before ordering, especially given the uniform variants.

Nothing wrong with that! Only point from me would be to ink wash the base gravel to contrast with the figure more. Please keep going and post more, I like the style!
