WIP Victorian sergeant with Galvanic Projector...
« on: 29 August 2011, 06:49:58 PM »
...for my Torchwood 1891 project, Sergeant Benton of UNIT (the Uniformed Naval Infantry Territorials) with a Galvanic Projector (or 'lightning gun').

The mini is a Wargames Factory Brit, with a head supplied by the lovely Mors (you only get 8 in a box and I wanted a complete 10-man GASLIGHT unit, so Mors sent me 4 - yes 4! - free heads! Meaning I can finish the squad and then have a head for my Walker pilot, and then... have a head!

Anyroadup, I also needed some kind of tank-busting weapon so built a Galvanic Projector... out of some sprue. Anyway. There it is.

Thanks mate, I was wondering if anyone was going to comment (either, it's so awesome that any comment is superflupus, or everyone is passing over it in embarrassed silence, one of the two...).

He's got a bit of paint on him now, along with the rest of his unit (I mean, UNIT), but I don't have a photo yet. Maybe I can sort that out. They're still not finished though, highlights and general touching up to do, and then basing - but the end is in sight (only had them for 6 months or so...)

A couple of hours later and I've taken a photo or two...

Here's Sergeant Benton with a few of the chaps... Rifleman Jeb McJebber doesn't look too happy...

Obviously a little more painting needs doing but I'm happy with how they're going.

More photos over at my blog here: http://redorcsblog.blogspot.com/ (I think that will work).
