1/56 Civilian Vehicles

We have some new models in our Modern Military Pipeline that happen to have possible useful civilian variants.

First pass at this is the prototype print of a Mercedes G Wagon.


The models will have removable doors, and different tops.  This particular model will have two to options (standard two door model, as well as the four door) optional types of spare tires (covered, non covered) and several grill guard variants.

The models are designed this way to facilitate them being used as the base for several military variants, with will be metal components that glue onto the basic model:

Shown above is the G-wagon stripped down, getting ready to be made into a forth coming SEAL FAV.

More to come soon.  I've been wanting to get some feedback though on the viability of civilian versions of certain models.

Soviet cars are in scale 1 / 60. I had sold them, but because demand was low, I do not buy them anymore.

I'll happily buy one or two of the G-Wagens to use as P-4s with my modern French if they come as a military version.

I have two new rear sections (the master is split right behind the drivers seat). and three different sets of rims/tires.

The 2nd model is the 4 door version.
The 3rd model is the shorter two door, from which the Peugeot P-4 is based on.

So the offerings would be:

Civilian Long Bed G Wagon (makes two door or four door)
Military Version FAV
Civilan Short Bed
Military version of short bed

The military versions will be the standard Civilian models with an metal add-on armor and weapons set.  The weapons set will also be available alone as well.

If this modular kit proves popular, you can bet more will follow.  I'm starting to dig deep into this 3D prototyping tech.
I'm working again on another armored train car in Sketch Up as I get a handle on this 3d software and printing.  I think next I'll tackle some sort of Russian truck or vehicle.

Very nice. When you say add on armour do you mean the armoured version or something else.

I Don't recommend to buy 1/60 cars, they are too small to be of any use with LAF miniatures.
on the other hand 1/56 urals are quite useful as they are perfect match in terms of scale

The Navy Seal FAV has add-on armor panels, a changed layout and accessories.  It all glues right on top of the civilian bits (or replaces them).  So regardless, the civilian model is always a part of the base kit.

The smaller one that is also a P-4 will pretty much be the unarmored one you have in the pictures, as I don't have any specific weapons/add-ons being sculpted for it right now.  It will probably be able to use some of the Navy Seal parts/weapons though, hence the add-on pack becoming available as well.

I'm not ready to use moneybooker for the moment, I'll stay within the paypal world but if (not when) I change my mind, you're going to be the first to know it. (I' want one or two of each model  )
