Nice.  A really atmospheric terrain piece, sure to unnerve your players even if it's not a Doctor Who game ;).  And, a good use for what look like slightly... gimpy, but inexpensive, figures.

That is a great looking piece of terrain that would fit into many games.  Great job.

Thanks chaps!
I never complain about cheap figures, so long as they do the required job. No matter how 'gimpy'!  lol

That almost looks like a chessboard which may or not have been the intention.

Did not realise that until you mentioned it, Bezzo! lol

It may work in the opposite way, though;
Anyone thinking that they can use the 'squares' as a guide for range guessing will be in for a shock.
It may be a 9x7 grid, but actually measures 10x8!
Could be fun if some of my players make the wrong assumption.... ::)

Nice all round, just to say to those who don't paint their gravel, it often detracts from the finished piece as it gives a 'scale' reference, better off painting and drybrushing them to pull them down to 25-28mm if you know what i mean.

Apart from mr tennant and K9, very little who painted by yours truely, must get some of those I-daleks done at some stage but no gaming plans so whimsical idea really, too much not be painted that i could use for a start! ;)

A Krynoid
Amazing!  I love it.  I just watched that episode online a while ago, and that mini is great at capturing the quasi-formless and vaguely Lovecraftian feel of the Krynoid.

The Family of Blood from the new series is also a nice group.  I really liked that serial, it had a lot of heart and the idea of the Doctor hiding via self-amnesia made for a great story.  You know you can buy the scarecrows to go with them, right? (from Crooked Dice, they're under Monsters and Villains as "Corn Dolls")

Where's the Meddling Monk figure from, if you don't mind me asking.

It looks familiar but I can't quite place it…  :?

The monk is from Perry Miniatures . It was the only one I could find in a traditional Monk pose.

Not sure what i'm going to do with the other five in the set yet though.

If you're only going to have time for only one figure, you sure use that time well. Excellent painting. Love the base too. Fantastic work all around.
