Painting Heroclix
« on: 22 November 2007, 11:39:54 AM »
I've just bought a couple of Heroclix figures to tinker with.  An initial look at one of them (Prof Ivo) shows that he's coated in rather thick paint.  Any attempt to repaint would lose quite a bit of detail.  Is there anyway to safely strip paint from plastic figures?
They were all drawn to the Keep; the soldiers who brought death; the father and daughter fighting for life; the people who have always feared it; and the one man who knows its secret....

I've succesfully used nailpolish remover on one once.
Of course, after priming and then painting it wasn't a huge difference...

I'd agree,

sand, file down the mould lines, clean it up then undercoat as usual, (halford's matt grey or blakc primer)....job done.

Just finished spidey, gone for a darker red and blue, bit more gritty but still cool, will take some pics.
