I have noticed that the Acetone does stiffen the figures up after you strip the paint on the older ones.  I have not tried it on the newer clicks that are an even softer plastic.  That Spider-Man Sundayhero just did would be one of those models.  He might be able to answer that.

I honestly don't know if the acetone stiffen the figures. What I feel is that acetone make the figures softer for a few days, then once it's probably perfectly dry and stabilized, the figures are as hard as possible. But it's just a feeling I have, no science here

Using metal washers for the bases helps also a lot to "hide" the plastic feeling, adding some weight to the final painted figure.

Nice painting indeed.

How do you use the acetone? Do you soak the figures or brush it on?
He that trades Liberty for Security will soon find that he has neither.

Sorry for the late answer, definitly too busy these days...should I say last months ?  ;D

Personaly I use an old toothbrush, that I dip in acetone and then, rub the figure with it.

Using the toothbrush can be messy  : rubbing the figure with it "spray" bits of paint and acetone (wich is a dangerous chemical) everywhere...ESPECIALLY IN EYES. So be very carefull if you want to make a try.

Always  wear good protection glasses , as usual when you use chemical products or dremel-style tools.

Back to business, at least. I finally found a new job, not much €€€ but plenty of time to paint and play  lol sounds a good balance for me.

So...

I sprayed some primer on Spidey, and plan to paint it in the next weeks  ;)

to be continued...

Marvel Infinity Challenge #13 "Thug".

There is an LE version called Knuckles that is an identical sculpt.
