I finished up painting up two cars in between making Halloween costumes and props. I think they might need something like custom paint or decals. Dunno yet, still thinking on it. The workbench part of these and more are  here and you can see more on my blog if you want.

Questions and comments, post em here.

That yellow vehicle looks like it's right out of the graphic nocel "Hard Boiled". I love the way the heavily armored chassis seems to sag and push down on the wheels  8)

Very nice background, too.

For your viewing pleasure, three more cars for Car Wars and apocalyptic gaming.
First up, a Land Rover with a mini-gun and side gun ports.

This one is a rat ride, straight out of the wastelands. With the large tank and dual drop weapon ports, I imagine this car as a long travel vehicle.

Finally, I feel this model really represents the just-out-of-the-showroom styling of a Car Wars car.

Group shot, just because.

As always, i want to hear from you,

Nice rides!  :-*

The yellow one is too clean to my eyes, needs some dirt.

Hey guys!  This is a long overdue update on my Car Wars vehicles, as I managed to get a few more  finished. I even got my oldest daughter into it, and she also finished a car. This first one is painted, weathered and decaled all by her. ( I did assist with the airbrushing a bit)

I like effect the salt rust technique left on this car.

Six wheels on a 57 Chevy.

My only named car, (so far) Machine Gun Kelly.

I tried for a little more sci fi look on this Vette.

Here are all my vehicles so far...

There is some more info and pictures on my Blog check it out, if you want.

Questions and comments welcome!

Very good offerings for an update 15 months later.  :-)
Really liking them a lot. Funny i have never liked 1/43 for scale for GWish sized figs. Though these just seem right. Must be te guns and armor plating. LOL
I am really liking the rusted one with the treads and two man crew, 1 with rocket launcher. But i think i am going to have to really love the 6 wheeled '57 Chevy instead. Did the car come with 6 wheels or did you add a set?
The backwards Daimler isn't too shabby either i must add.

The rear wheels from the rocket car became the front wheels of the chevy. I used all of the Chevy wheels in the back. Most of these are true 1:43 scale models. They match up the best. (The two on the ends are not. The red one is a pullback toy and the yellow one is a 1:35 porshe model that was quartered, trimmed and re-assembled.) Im picky about keeping the size as close as possible.

The car was painted entirely brown and orangey rust colors, just dabbed on. then i used the salt technique to mask it (sea salt) and sprayed over with the blue. After it dried, i cleaned off the salt and added rust pigments on the welds and lines, ect.
