Warlands 20mm Auto combat added truck and crew
« on: May 24, 2010, 02:29:44 PM »
I am going to be running Warlands at the school games club this week so have knocked up some cars for the kids to use .
The flashy corporate style cars will be escorting the water truck whilst the raiders try to take it down .
As the JADA cars are next to impossible to find over here I am tending towards the Matchbox/Hotwheels scale of stuff and this is lending the collection a bit more of an Auto-duel feel rather than Road warrior feel if that makes sense .

Cool stuff! The windows remind me of the Dark Future cars in some of the old GW books.  :)

Excellent stuff! The windows do look great, and the weathering too. I love the way you've used GW Tau bits as weapons on some of the vehicles - now I know what to do with all those left over missile pods! Good to see the Dark Future cars in there as well.

Really nice!

Appears that everyone is getting into this at the moment.. kind puts me off although I did have 6 cars all lined up and ready to go.  lol

On a serious note my main reason for not getting my arse in gear is the que of other things wanting my attention.

Very nice! I used the exact same Dark Future gunner for my Utility truck! Haven't played yet, but the process is quite enjoyable~ :D

Please take photos of the mayhem!

Finished the truck and some crew types .
The wagon is in Crown (Steam) Haulage livery which where vehicles my family restored
in fact Simon M has ridden in one of them when he still lived over here .
I have 2 more trucks of the same model one of which is gonna get Half tracks on the rear .

Care to give us a bit of a rundown on how you weather your cars?

I've got those JADA battlemachines, and think your weathering would look fantastic.

Thanks guys
The weathering is just wet/dry brushing
first layer of dark brown / burnt sienna appled quite wet all over the tires and lower chassis working its way up the body work a bit . Then a drier brush with Earth tone over the dark brown ,I tend to work the brush in the direction of travel if that makes sense .Finally a very dry brush with a bone colour applied over the earth tone . Thats it really its all a bit slap dash and hap-hazard TBH .
