VSF on Mars:

Return of the son of the Mummy: Part Deux

Aliens:

Mostly of games I played in, though none from Friday (Probably for the best; My performance in Andy's Werewolf game wasn't pretty...)

Hopefully someone playing the game will have more.  I was busy at the time in the Conan (twice) and Aliens games.  8)

Many thanks to Nick for organising another splendid BLAM event and to those of you who provided & hosted games for those of us who didn't.

The scenery building (as can be seen from the photos) was jaw droppingly fantastic and while I couldn't play every game - I did manage to play a few.  :)

The highlight for me of Oldskoolrebel's Werewolf hunt was Capt Blood's party of monster hunters taking down 2 of the 3 werewolves in melee. It was more like a Carry On than a Hammer Horror.  lol

Similarly, in Dodge's RCW game Capt Blood once again "rolled like a good 'un" to take the win with his unstoppable Russians - despite Chillwind's efforts to snatch back the Tsar at the end.
Note to self, don't shoot at Capt Blood's troops who have bayonets when you have an army which can't actually use a gun ...... and don't have bayonets!  ::)

Revford's "Return of the Return of the Son of the Mummy" was a hoot. Although the inevitable chaos of PvP meant that no-one actually got the treasure from the pyramid during game time.  lol

Thunderchicken's VSF game was a visual treat and the game mechanics were simple enough for a dullard like me. Although I was narrowly pipped at the post by Rev Ford, we both (despite Thunderchicken's protests) believed that the Martian Crab-Grabber thingTM was without a doubt the MVP of the game.

Matakishi's Crom kept me away from everything else - a great game which got better and better as the Minions started to kill off the adventures. A pity that the "clones of the adventurers" finally stuffed the Minions in the Dark Citadel. Ah well, at least Conan got to die ...... again.  :D

Hi all

Thanks for making my first ever Blam event such a fantastic experience (well maybe not the Indian on Friday!).  I look forward to next year as myself and Dewbakuk already have many ideas we want to explore.

Special thanks to Nick (Malamute?) for organising the event and everyone else for making the new guy feel so welcome.

Cheers
Rich

Rich - you don't have time for all this blah, blah, blah nonsense .... you have 6 figures left to paint for Dean from this year's project before you get around to all those Ghouls you committed to on Friday night.  :D ;)

A few more BLAM photos .....

Are you sure these are the right instructions? That suppository looks awfully big!

Kestrel not quite sure that "the one that had got away" had really been as big as was being suggested.

Rev Ford orders two beers thinking that we can't spot a life-scale model of Matakishi when we see one.

As Yoda Malmute contemplates the inner workings of the force, Dewbakuk decides that any Pirate game worth it's salt needs ....... a lightsaber.

And on a more serious note - check out the detail in the bottom left hand corner - a tiny model of the base layout within the model - brilliant!

Such a great collection of wonderful games.
It is fun to follow all the threads of what everyone is working on,
then finally see all the hard work pay off.
Thank you very much for all the great photos of all the games.

Had a great time despite a few hiccups. Sorry if I didn't seem with it Saturday chaps but the Tsingtao and your good company had me in high sprirts in no time.

Thanks to those who indulged in my game, a bit rushed and last minute but I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Another thanks to Uti Long Smile and Overlord for the 7TV game. Great fun and exactly the sort of thing I've spent a couple of years looking for. Thoroughly recommended, so much so I've purchased the ruleset and all the gubbins.

The Wayland Games goddie bag was a lovely treat and very generous indeed.

Here's to next year, wherever and whenever it will be!
Don't!
